Decorative, lithographed postcard, depicting 2 little girls in Victorian dresses, one sewing, one reading from a book.

A little cat and doll in the cradle are on the floor.

Used as field post in Austria in 1918, censor-strike, upper right corner with a crease, otherwise good condition.

Old Chinese Yi Xing Teapot

Attractive old Chinese Yi-xing teapot from first half of last century. Unusual shape with a scholar and twigs of a pine tree.

The bottom mark reads ? 店葭制

There are 2 small chips at the lid, otherwise good condition.

Temple of Buddha Canton: Mid-19th century etching depicting the altar of the famous Cantonese temple with monks and musicians in front of the altar.

Engraved by W.H. Capone after a drawing by Thomas Allom.

Thick printing paper, 7,5 x 5 (19 x 12,6 cm) in is the actual print, 11 x 8,2 (27,6 x 20,5 cm) the complete sheet.

Good condition, clean and fresh. It looks great when matted and framed.

Suchohrad , Dimvar – Dimburg. Old s/w postcard: “Czigany tanya – Zigeuner Ansiedlung“ (Gypsy Village). 

The postcard depicts 3 Gypsy children in front of a Gypsy village.

Unused, very good condition. 1918 Suchograd (German: Dimburg, Hungarian: Dimvar) is a village and municipality in Malacky District in the Bratislava Region of western Slovakia close to the town of Malacky, north-west of Slovakia's capital Bratislava.

Mela Köhler X-Mas Postcard Girl and Toys

Mela Koehler: Art Deco Postcard, depicting a little girl kneeling in front of her Christmas tree and looking at her toys.

Published by Munk in Vienna as Nr. 1187.

Not postally used but a few lines with pencil at reverse. Good condition.

This one is not a common Mela Koehler postcard.

Richard Geiger: Authentic drawing from app. 1910, depicting 2 Jews in a street, talking.

Artist signed: Geiger R. Size: 29 x 20 cm ( matted 31 x 7,8 cm) 7,8 x 10, 6 inches (matted 12 x 15 inches), good condition.

Richard Geiger (Austrian, 1870-1945) was active in Budapest and Paris. Richard Geiger began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Christian Grepenkerl and Eisenmengen. Later he went to Paris to work in the studio of L. Flameng. After 1893 Richard Geiger worked in Budapest als genre painter.
